A. Phosphoric Acid - Active Component In Many Soft Drinks

Serious Health Side Effects of Phosphoric ‘Acid’:

* The phosphoric acid found in soft drinks combines with the minerals: calcium, magnesium and zinc. These minerals are sometime later lost in the urine.

* Soda drinkers are likely to be affected by a shortage of vitamin A, plus the minerals: calcium, magnesium and zinc. All these nutrients are INDISPENSABLE to the well-being of your skin!

* ‘Acid’ sets about to break down tooth enamel in barely 20 minutes. Can you envisage what it is doing elsewhere in your body?

* Previous studies show that the ‘acid’ saps bones and skin of calcium, and women who consume greater amounts of soda have an added risk of broken bones.

* A chief contributor to the soaring growth in osteoporosis.

Explicit recommendation: You should avoid ALL pops, as a factor in a healthy psoriasis diet.

Note: If you think Mountain Dew is a ‘more healthy’ choice - don’t!! See nerdparadise .com - Science - Mountain Dew … “sadly, the humor does not hide the health effects of ‘dewing’ it”.

B. Liquids With Sugars Added

The March 1993 issue of the TOWNSEND LETTER FOR DOCTORS supplied a checklist of ways in which ‘added’ sugar is considered to be harmful to the health of your skin:

* immune system suppression - a no-no for each and every one with psoriasis

* reduces resistance against infection; reduces healing reaction

* leads to calcium, magnesium and zinc mineral deficiencies - vital minerals for everyone, not just psoriasis patients

* promotes the beginning of degenerative disease

Recommendation for a outstanding treatment for pustular psoriasis: If you enjoy sweeteners (not too much now!) then use unpasteurized honey, maple syrup or molasses - all alkaline, meaning they contain minerals.

C. Fluids Containing Artificial Sweeteners

1. Aspartame is the technological label for the brand names NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, and Equal-Measure.

Aspartame is the reason for over 75% of the detrimental reactions to food additives broadcast to the FDA, amongst them skin rashes. Contains Methanol (wood alcohol), a lethal toxin.

Psoriasis patients - do not drink or eat anything containing this product.

2. Sucralose is constructed by the selective ‘chlorination’ of sucrose. It is 600 times sweeter than sugar. It is an inorganic composition not readily metabolized by the human body.

Sucralose is used in very small quantities in Splenda. It is so sweet that they have to add filler agents (99% by weight) called Dextrose and Maltodextran (sugars) to those little packets we put in our coffee and tea. See health effects of sugars, above.

Over the long haul, the health effects of sucralose on humans has yet to be established. Psoriasis sufferers - stay away from Sucralose, and the 4500+ other compounds containing it!
