New Psoriasis Vulgaris Treatment
Subscribe To Our FeedThe causes of psoriasis are still up for debate, and the medical community have several different theories which partly overlap each other. In the following we shall discuss these theories, and also talk a little bit about a new theory that has emerged.
Psoriasis is a non-contagious chronic skin condition which on average affects approximately 1-3 percent of the people in this world. The symptoms will often vary in intensity and will typically look like red, raised patches with silvery and flaky scales on different parts of the body, and often on the scalp.
There are several different types of psoriasis, but the most common is known by the medical term psoriasis vulgaris, or plaque psoriasis. What exactly causes psoriasis is officially unknown, but as already mentioned there are certain theories about it which involves several different factors.
Are The Causes Genetic?
Certain genetic research has been known to pinpoint specific gene mutations which could be involved the enigma of what causes psoriasis. These gene mutations specifically affects certain T-cells and make them function in an abnormal way. This seems to be what is causing the problem.
Autoimmune Trouble Causes Psoriasis?
A normal and healthy immune system fights off foreign invaders such as viruses, fungus, and bacteria by producing anti-bodies. The white blood cells that produce these anti-bodies will also produce certain chemicals to assist in the process.
When it comes to psoriasis, a special group of white blood cells named T-cells goes into overdrive, and become hyperactive. The immune system will seemingly attack the skin and trigger many different events that causes the skin cells to multiply so rapidly that they will begin to stack up on the skin surface of the sufferer.
The normal cycle for skin cells are around thirty days from “birth” to death. In the case of psoriasis however, the skin cells will complete this whole cycle in as little as 3-6 days.
If the immune system is working properly and as it should, the T-cells are supposed to assist in the healing of the skin. But when it comes to psoriasis the T-cells produce such an excessive amount of these chemicals that it causes inflammation in the skin and sometimes in the joints of the sufferer.
The Hidden Causes Of Psoriasis
Perhaps the medical researchers are so focused on the details involved that they simply forget about the bigger picture? What happens at the cellular level can also be seen as a symptom of the disease, and not the cause. Nobody asks what causes these anomalies in the T-cells and immune system in the first place.
How come the body is “attacking” it’s own skin in the first place? What if the body is constantly struggling with an overload of toxins? For arguments sake, let’s say that the body is expelling this overload of toxins through the skin. As these toxins are being “rounded up” and moved towards the surface of the skin there is a bottleneck factor involved.
A Breakthrough Discovery
As the concentration of toxins increase towards the surface of the skin, the immune system reacts by attacking these toxins to “protect” the skin. The end result is that the skin will suffer. There is now a new psoriasis treatment available which is based upon clinical research and it seems very promising as it has cured hundreds of people already.
