Subscribe To Our FeedIn freezing conditions of the winter, the cold can cause your skin red itchy marks and dryness. Even the moisturised skins can get dry over Winter. We believe that wearing few layers of clothes will keep us warm and also protect our skin. This is not entirely true we still have to moisturise our skin if we do not want the skin to go dry in the winter. Here are some tips on how you can keep your skin healthy over winter period.
Drinking plenty of water keeps our organs hydrated and the biggest organ we have in our body is the skin. Skin is always moisturised if you drink lots of water daily. When we do activities which makes our body sweat, it is very essential for us to replace the water we have lost through our skin.
Before you go to sleep it is very important to apply creams in our skin. We apply moisturising lotions before we go to work but sometimes we forget to apply it at nights before we sleep. Activities throughout the day reduce the moisture in the skin and this will continue if we do not moisturise our skin at nights. You will be able to see the lack of moisture in your skin when your feet starts drying and cracking up.
Use humidifiers in your homes as air in the winter can get very dry. The heater is almost on all day long and it can cause drying effect on the skin and nasal passages hence you will see dry blood coming out of your nose every time you blow. To add bits of moisture to the air invest in humidifiers in Germany we call it luftbefeuchter.
Take showers with cool water. I know we all want to shower in hot water in freezing condition but it does not do any good to our skin, use cool water for shower so that it does not let our skin dry.
